Live demonstration of the Museum

The one day program organized by the folk heritage museum highlighted the importance of preserving culture and tradition and keeping the originality alive .It will revel yesterday history through today’s work. The folk heritage museum involved the ongoing guide trainees from Bhutan International School of Hospitality and Tourism to come and participate in this event since it will also act as a source of education later when these culture guides start working professionally. The museum have always stressed on education as a priority and also involving as much youth participation as possible.

The Live demonstration took place on 25thAugust 2014 and the demonstration included Roasting of rice, Ara making ,Hand grinding of rice (mill stone),Burning incense, Pounding of rice, Weaving (Threatha) Weaving ( pangtha),Butter churn, Live cooking in kitchen, Butter tea making process, Live ritual (lhabsang and Rebusangchoey) , Mustard oil making process and Traditional sports demonstration.
